  4. All scouts will follow the directions of 1st Jerrabomberra Scout Leaders, and other leaders that are present.

  5. Hygiene will be of the highest standard on any Scouting camp or activity, including: clean face and hands at all times, regular use of hand sanitiser when available, hair and teeth are brushed, use of deodorant and showering.

  6. During dining and catering hygiene includes: use of hand sanitiser, using utensils to prepare and eat food, washing up and drying plates and cooking equipment, cleaning kitchen and dining tables, and ensuring washing up water is clean and warm during all meal periods.

  7. All Scouts shall keep the dining fly area clean at all times; it is not a “fast food joint”.

  8. Courtesy and manners will be shown to all Scouts, leaders, and non-scouting members at all times.

  9. On all scout camps, scouts will queue politely for meals. Scouts will not leave the table until all other scouts at the table have finished eating.

  10. No scout will leave the camp or activity alone without the permission of your Patrol Leader or a Scout Leader. The buddy system is to be used out of the immediate camp area. No male and female shall go off alone together unless directed by a leader.

  11. All scouting and personal possessions will be kept clean, cared for, and put away when not in use.

  12. On all camps, unless directed by a Scout Leader, scouts are to be in camp by 10:00pm, with lights out and all quiet by 10:30pm.

  13. No scout will be in any tent other than his or her own at any time. Scouts will only be in tents to sleep or get changed.

  14. Scouts will remain “sunsafe” at all times. Scouts are to wear hats, scarves, shirts with sleeves and that is long enough to remain tucked in at all times, and sunscreen.

  15. Shoes will be worn at all times, including swimming (unless directed by The Scout Leader).

  16. For hygiene purposes, the wearing of thongs while showering is recommended.

  17. Swearing is not permitted.

  18. Physical violence (e.g. bullying and fighting) will not be tolerated – walk away and see a Leader if necessary. Avoiding unnecessary touching of other members of the Troop will help, as this can cause offence (often leading to heated/physical disputes).

  19. Scouts shall at all times give full respect for leaders (whether you agree with them or not); they are all dedicated. Offensive behaviour towards Leaders will result in suspension.

Breaking of these rules (especially on camps or outings) could result in scouts being sent home. In particular, rules 18 and 19 will be enforced.
